Musings From My Soul

The Silver Lining

The Silver Lining

Deep dark inside, it seemed
Peeped down – it looked like a deep chasm
As if lost, twisted in some jerky spasm
Not even a ray of light beamed.

The thunderous monsoon played wrath
Contriving clouds dancing to its tunes
Obscurity encompassed the sandy dunes
That lay by the side of the path.

Far far ahead the empty road lay
Not even a speck of life in sight
And the bareness, with itself, in fight
Just then, a voice from behind floated “Hey!”

Looking back, a familiar face smiled
The tears rolling down the sides spoke
“It’s me! Again” was all that the voice could croak
And an invisible kiss on the lips mild.

“Hold my hands, as we have always had
And as rules of freedom love birds abide
Supporting you always from by your side
Bestowing the strength, with courage to add.”

Clutching the hand, moving in sync
Could see the clouds parting its cloak
Mischievous clouds obedient by some magical stroke
Revealed the sunshine to the soul – the missing link.

Clear blue skies heralded by the wand
Showed the track for them to tread
Bathed in the light and nothing left unsaid
The Mighty Gods have reinforced the bond.

– For we are bound to go where mariner has not yet dared to go, And we shall risk our ship ourselves.
