Apple – The Journey from iPod to iMat

with 2 comments

While the world is going from minis to micros to nanos, Apple is doing just the opposite. The (recently) launched iPad is an indication. A bestselling innovation called the iPod has given way to something called an iPad. Now netizens are wondering what would be next. And when it comes to netizens, you cannot help but find creative souls lurking all around. Have a look at the following pic-story of how Apple will go from iPod to iMat – the move from micro to mini to the all-encompassing.

The journey of Apple

Now enough of Apple, let us come to Swans. I am currently going through a book by N.N. Taleb, namely ‘Black Swan’. A book on the human psychology of generalization of facts and figures and how that can create unwanted results. It speaks about the nature of Man to simplify the past and use those to predict the future – a problem so well embedded in the human mind that it is bound to bring troubles if not handled properly. Taleb wants us only to make note of the facts, and not try to infer anything from that – a task so herculean that we would be extremely tired even if we do it for just one afternoon.  I will be back with more on the book in my next post, when I complete the book. Till then, have a good time.

My new Ipod

Rain in the soul

Rain in the soul

I got my new Ipod today. Its revolutionary, its radical, and the most important of all -its different. Yes, it’s different from Apple’s. It’s my new spiritual undertaking. It’s “Inner Peace amongst Outer Dynamism”.

When the world is at a turmoil, everything is in a state of incessant brownian movement, Ipod comes to my rescue. It’s my way of enjoying sanity amongst global madness. The run for time, the run for money and the run for materials cravings–  all becomes secondary. It’s time for listening to inner thoughts, the inner voice needs an ear. The limping soul needs someone to lean on.  Listen!! Listen !! Can you hear it cry! Can you hear it begging for someone to lend it a sympathetic hearing!

At last the time has come. I go down into recluse, musing over all that has happenened. People I have offended, those that have offended me, from the very small to the most happening events. It’s time to reflect. Like standing at the edge of a pond during sunset. The purity of the glowing colours together with the shimmering reflection of the soul in the muddy waters strikes the chord of unshaken belief in your heart which says “I’m still here.”

The Faith Returns

“I’m still here.” I repeat it to myself. Once more. A subtle sense of support stirs me up. I am not alone. I am not in the dark. I am still living with my soul. And as I fall back on my bed and slowly fall into the eternal trance, I couldn’t but keep humming these words from Enigma’s ‘Return To Innocence’ :

That’s not the beginning of the end
That’s the return to yourself
The return to innocence
Love – Devotion
Feeling – Emotion
Love – Devotion
Feeling – Emotion
Don’t be afraid to be weak
Don’t be too proud to be strong
Just look into your heart my friend
That will be the return to yourself
The return to innocence
If you want, then start to laugh
If you must, then start to cry
Be yourself don’t hide
Just believe in destiny

The awakening

The Awakening

Don’t care what people say
Just follow your own way
Don’t give up and use the chance
To return to innocence

That’s not the beginning of the end
That’s the return to yourself
The return to innocence
Don’t care what people say
Follow just your own way Follow just your own way
Don’t give up, don’t give up
To return, to return to innocence.
If you want then laugh
If you must then cry
Be yourself don’t hide
Just believe in destiny.

— Its my return to Innocence.
